Our Mother Rosella’s Chili

  • 1 lg. can tomato paste
  • 2lbs. McGinnis Sisters ground chuck
  • 1 lg. can whole tomatoes
  • 2 15.5oz. cans of Kidney Beans: 1-light red, 1-dark red
  • 1 medium can tomato puree
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 medium peppers, chopped
  • 2 tbls. instant chicken
Fry ground chuck until brown. Add onion, celery & peppers. Saute 3-5 minutes until tender. Add remaining ingredients except kidney beans.

Cover and simmer on low for 2-2 1/2 hours. Add kidney beans and simmer until beans are heated through. Serve with our freshly baked Italian bread.
