McGinnis Sisters Cinnamon Bread French Toast

  • 1 loaf of McGinnis Sisters cinnamon bread, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 10 Tbs butter, divided
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
Mix eggs and granulated sugar in bowl. Add cream, whisk well. Add milk, whisk well. Layer cinnamon bread in 13x9 pan sprayed with Pam. Dot tops of bread with tiny bits of butter.  Add another layer and butter, repeating for 3 total layers and 6 Tbs butter. Pour egg mixture over top and gently press into bread. Cover and chill overnight.
Remove casserole from the refrigerator one hour before baking. Make the topping with 4 Tbs butter and brown sugar and sprinkle over top just before baking. Bake at 350 F or 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
